PNYT JANUARY NEWS

Happy New Year!

Here are a few dates for your diary and information on the plans/prices for the coming

two terms. Any questions please speak to Zoë or Lisa.

Term One- One

Term Two -One

Term Two-Two

3/6/19 New Term starts FILM PROJECT

08/7/19 End of term FILM SHOWING TO BE CONFIRMED (£ End of 6 weeks)

Payment:

Please can payments be paid in full, in advance or on week one of each half term, for

the half term or full term. This guarantees we cover our outgoings efficiently in

advance each term. If ever there is a difficulty making payments please inform Lisa.

The costs are:

£30 for half term (6 week)

£60 for full term (12 weeks)

Payments are unfortunately non-refundable and exceptions cannot be made for

holiday or absence. If there are medical or personal reasons a deduction or allowance

should be made please talk to us. If you have two children in the same class a £10 discount

is available each half term.

New Era Examinations:

There will be a small entry fee (which will be confirmed by the entry date) for

children to enter the exam. If you do not wish your child to enter please let me know

ASAP.

Production:

Our first production will be held at the Meridian Centre Theatre and tickets will be on

sale shortly.

There will be a £10 production fee, per child, payable by Easter to cover staffing,

venue and costume. As I am sure you are aware this is a new theatre group and is self

funded, so this fee cannot be waived, and is a very fair fee compared to many other

children’s theatre groups in Brighton and the surrounding area! Please pay these in

cash to Lisa or Zoë at your earliest convenience.

The all-day rehearsals will also be chargeable at £10 per child, to cover the hall

hire and staff. It is imperative the children attend these as it is the only times both the

Peacehaven and Newhaven children meet!

Help Needed…

I am seeking volunteer chaperones for the show days. So please let us know if you

can help! Also any help with costumes, scenery, music, prop making etc please let us

know. (Teenage children perhaps?!)

New Choir:

Wednesdays 5-6pm at Elim Church, Newhaven is the new singing group. Anyone that

wishes to sing in the show must attend these rehearsals. (All youth theatre children

will sing chorus parts).

The choir will work towards a musical theatre group exam in the summer term and

work in a recording studio!

The price is the same as the youth theatre.

Discount if children do the drama class and the singing class (£10 off each half term).

T-shirts:

Some children already have these. Please tell myself or Lisa their age and name (spelt

correctly) for the next batch order (deadline first week in February).

T-shirts are £20 and £10 deposit at time of order.

Bring a friend:

If a friend you recommend or bring along joins us this term (and stays for the

production) your child will receive a ‘Blousey Alone PNYT 2019’ t-shirt free.
